Florida Road Trip PART 2: PAD THAI in Florida

I LOVE PAD THAI!!!

I really don't know why I love it so much.  But if it wasn't so terribly unhealthy, I would eat it EVERY night.  I always order it the same style.

SHRIMP pad thai with NO BEANSPROUTS, served EXTRA EXTRA SPICY.

I don't like beansprouts because when I was in 3rd grade, I used to eat them by the handful.  I ended up getting super sick (stomach bug) one day and ended up getting sick after stuffing my face with a ton of bean sprouts.  Needless to say, haven't eaten them them since.  You know how that is...

We had Thai food TWICE during the trip, once in Melbourne and once in Venice.

Here's the half-eaten meal in Melbourne:
It was so delicious, I devoured most of it before remembering to take a photo.

The place was called Thai Thai House (I think) and the Pad Thai was good.  They had a great spice cart, which I did use a large amount of, because they didn't spice the dish up enough in the kitchen.  The spice cart stuff gave it a nice color.  Overall, I'd give it a B+.

In Venice (on the Gulf Coast) later in our trip, we got Thai takeout from Thai Bistro.  We had gone here last year and I had LOVED IT (no surprise there.)  This year was no different.

After running my 8K on Saturday morning (and winning my age group!), I was in the mood for Pad Thai for a "victory meal" hahaha.  We picked it up and ate it by the pool:

It was good stuff!  I wish I'd had a spice cart with me because it wasn't quite spicy enough.  But it was delicious enough on it's own.  And by this point, I was so gosh darn hungry (ran an 8K and then gone on a 12 mile bike ride with my family) that anything would have been great.  I'd give it a B+.
