Blog Makeover

I have some super exciting news to share later this week......!  But we'll all just have to be patient (myself included.)

Ok back to to the topic at hand:

I would love to do a blog makeover at some point...

but I have NO idea where to get started.

The top three things I'd like to update:
  • new header
  • little buttons for twitter/instagram/blogger/pinterest at the top right
  • clean up my sidebar
I think I'll switch to this as my new header...
does anyone else have a photo suggestion for me to use??
My favorite design style is CLEAN, crisp, bold, simple and fresh.

Do you have any recommendations for a talented blog makeover artist (or at least someone who knows how to make those social media buttons)?
Everything I've done up to this point has been on my own, but at this point I'd love to get some help from someone else to make it extra pretty!

  1. If you find out how to add one of those cutsie follow me buttons with all media links, PLEASE SHARE! I cannot figure this out for the life of me and I think all those links make my sidebar a site for sore eyes. Sheesh, my ole blog could use a bit of housecleaning as well.

  2. I have looked into that too but it is pretty pricey. If you look at the bottom of the screen of most blogs you can see who is responsible for their blog creation if it was not them. I actually love that picture of you!

  4. I love that picture! And I would recommend Blue Luxe, however I don't think she's designing right now. She's who did my blog design and buttons, which I LOVE!

  5. I actually just created my own social media buttons today by using this really simple tutorial!

You can check out my blog and see how they came out but it was pretty straight foward and easy to do!

I won a blog makeover a while back from Dream Up Studios and tho I didn't have to pay anything I will say that they were really really nice and did everything I asked them to do! I wanted something clean and simple and they totally gave me what I wanted. Here is their website http://dreamupstudios.com/
I just got a basic design but they can also design buttons and all kinds of stuff for you.

  7. I cannot help with the button but if you want a new header I can help you
I made mine and I made Sandy's (boston bound brunette) I can do any color for you, any font, 1 or several pics. It would be my pleasure to help you with this if you want. for Sandy I just emailed her 4-5 different ones to let her pick her favorite. Email me if you want help with that.

  9. The dunes pic is cool, but maybe since I'm from the bay area I'm partial to the golden gate bridge one =)

  12. I'll be in Richmond tomorrow as the official photographer for the Color Me Rad event. If you're doing the run, I'm sure you'll want a Rad picture of you for your blog. I'll be easy to find...I'll be the one loaded down with camera gear!

Please pass the word to your fellow runners!

    Regards, Lee
