I was pretty tired after my morning run so we ran slow and easy and just enjoyed ourselves.
As we entered the first color zone, I was getting a little nervous about inhaling all the cornstarch so I used my top as a lil' filter.

But all in all, it was a FABULOUS race.
Very well organized and well attended-- all the Color Me Rad races have been sold out thus far.
Thanks again to the Color Me Rad and Virginia Special Olympics folks for the free bibs for my friends and me!
Have you done Color Me Rad? Is this sort of thing appealing to you?
This was my first Color Me Rad and I loved it even more than I'd expected to. It was fun to do a 100% relaxed race where you don't have to focus on running fast and can just run it with your buddies.

That is so cool! I'm dying to do a Color Me Rad race, it looks like a blast!
ReplyDeleteThe color me rad race was a blast!!!. Definitely brings true meaning to the name neon runner. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was so fun seeing you and Brittany while running!
Looks like you had fun, I am impressed with what it did to your contacts! It is amazing the races they are coming up with lately that are really selling out like those color runs, mud runs, night runs. And there are never any close by. I don't know it I would do one or not, but seeing your pictures makes it more convincing to do a color run.
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! That picture of your contact is crazy! I love how even your eyelashes are coloured.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like SO much fun!! Haha I would have totally been one of those people at the pink zone rolling around in the paint.. only I probably wouldn't have washed it off... hehe the idea of a pink world is pretty exciting :-P
ReplyDeleteOh that contact pic is AH-MAZING! I want to do that with my little boys (5, 5 & 7) as I think they'd have a great time. One of these days I will!
ReplyDeleteHOW FUN!!!! I'm doing the color run this Saturday!! I can't wait!! :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome, looks like soo much fun!!!
ReplyDeletelol on this recap! And crazy on your contact lense being dyed blue!
ReplyDeleteMy sister did a color run recently, she has a great time!
It definitely looks entertaining!
I haven't done one but have been seeing tons of color race photos. I don't know that I want to because it sounds sticky! However, everyone seems to LOVE them so maybe I'll change my mind. :) That contact photo is fab.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had so much fun! I've never done a Color Me Rad/Color Run, but they look like everyone has a blast. I think having my contacts get dyed by the color would freak me out, though. Eep!
ReplyDeleteThanks looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWow! Those pictures are crazy! It looks like you hassle a great time out there. And please tell me you don't have some sort of eye infection from the blue contact!
ReplyDeleteI'm not too interested in a race like this, but I think it would be fun to spectate and take photos of it :)
never done one!
ReplyDeletelooks like a lot of fun!!
Sorry - cannot understand the appeal at all here. At all. But apparently they're very popular, so I must be the weird one (who knew?). And I'd ask for my money back for my contact, lol.
ReplyDeleteI saw that picture on Instagram and it stuck with me all day. :) Impressive long morning run, and I'm glad you got to have the Color run experience! There's one coming here in March that I think I'm going to do.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing it August 11th! I'm so excited. Now I know I better protect my contact lenses somehow!
ReplyDeleteColor Me Rad looks like so much fun! I'm doing it Aug 11th in San Diego!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get rad! Looks like so much fun. Good to know about the contacts... Why didn't you wear the shades provided? :)
ReplyDeleteThat's crazy that your contact got dyed! intense :) looks super fun though!
ReplyDeleteI did the Color Me Rad here in Virginia Beach. It was raining here, so that made it a little less rad. It took me forever to get some of the color out of my hair and skin.
ReplyDeleteYou guys look great. I'm doing color me Rad may 11th 2013 in Detroit mi. The color run is also the same day at a close location to me also. But after all ive read it seems that color me Rad is the race to do. I'm so excited. I'm glad I registered for

Ok, here's a question as a fellow contact wearer. I'm running next weekend and i'm totally afraid of trashing my eyes/contacts... Obviously the contacts were ruined, but you weren't like, GET THEM OUT OMFG... like if you have something in them? I don't care so much about replacing them, just that I don't want to be miserable.
