Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt Bars

Unless you live up near the arctic circle, you've probably been experiencing this heat wave of temps consistently above 100 degrees.

Is it always this bad during the summer?  Did I just block prior summers out of my head?
I foresee spending my summer under a giant hat.
Maybe I can take this running with me?
My way of coping with the heat has been:
  • running at 5:30am (which I now love, used to hate)
  • eating frozen treats!
One of my favorite frozen treats to cool me off has been the Yasso Greek Yogurt Bar.
You must try these out!!

Each bar has 6 grams of protein and only 70 calories.

All natural and fat free of course.

They come in 3 different flavors, including raspberry, strawberry, and blueberry.

I tried raspberry and it was delicious.  NOT overly sweet, just the perfect balance of tangy yogurt and sweet fruit.

I found these on sale for $3.99 at my local grocery store (Kroger), but click HERE for a list of all their locations, including Costco-- I could buy these in bulk for sure.

Do you love greek yogurt?
I feel like a lot of people can either take it or leave it since it has a pretty distinct flavor... I LOVE greek yogurt, it's an amazing source of protein and I actually like how it tastes.  If you don't love the taste, you can try a little drizzle of honey on top to sweeten it up.

  1. Ooh those look perfect after some sweaty yasso 800's! :)
Definitely will look for them next time I'm in a regular grocery store.

  2. I don't remember summer being so bad, but I haven't always been a runner. I think being a runner makes us more aware of how hot it really is. yuck.

I do like frozen yogurt, but we don't have any froyo places around here (thank goodness).

  3. I LOVE greek yogurt! I must look for those!

I also love cake batter, and on sites like Pinterest, cake batter themed treats keep popping up! My downfall. However, I've found that a lot of the Vanilla Greek Yogurts out there totally satisfy my cake batter craving!! ...I'm sure they have tons of sugar added, but it still has to be healthier than actually making and eating cake batter :)

I also use plain greek yogurt in place of sour cream or mayo in a lot of recipes, like egg salad, or various dips... mmm. Our guests seem to love it, too!

  4. I just realized yesterday that the rest of the country is getting this crazy Texas heat, too! Ugh. I love Greek yogurt- and have wondered about those bars... thanks for the recommendation. Definitely want to check them out. And I'm so impressed with your 5:30am runs! I still hate them. :)

  6. I actually just tried one of these Yasso bars last week while traveling! Loved em. Yes - I eat froyo every day (seriously) so was psyched when I saw these in my hotel's mini-market!

  7. Yes, I love greek yogurt. And that hat! We stay cool by staying in our basement and almost turning into vampires.

  15. The heat wave finally hit Spokane. It has been HOT, but I am not complaining since we have had the crappiest, most long drawn out winter ever. I was actually able to get some what of a sun tan over the weekend. I do feel sorry for my two pups since we don't have AC. :-(

I am going to look for those Greek yogurt bars the next time I go grocery shopping. I love Greek yogurt- eat it everyday.
