But then I think about those fried pieces and rich orange sauce eventually streaming through my veins and I opt for the healthier-ish rolls...
And I just make an easy, healthy version of the orange sauce at home!
Light Orange Sauce
-1/2 cup light mayo
-1 to 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce (more or less depending on desired level of spice)
-a squeeze of lime juice

LOVE it. I'll try pretty much any type, don't love the sashimi stuff though.

ReplyDeleteTrue but slightly gross story: Last week while we were in the bahamas we caught a few black fin tuna. When our friend cleaned them he cut a chunk off and I ate it... right off the fish that we had just caught an hour or so before. Black fin isn't what they serve in resturants - it had a different taste. Very fishy, but still good.
WOW now that's fresh. The thing is that it is probably fresher and cleaner to eat it how you did vs. getting it in a restaurant!

I LOVE sushi! I had it the other night actually with a friend! That's so awesome that you made the homemade orange sauce! I pretty much like any kind except for anything that says "eel sauce" on it...gross.
