Tour of Runner's World Headquarters

I made the long drive up north to the Runner's World Festival this weekend...and it's been amazing so far.  And the weekend has just begun.

Last night, Altra Zero Drop and Runner's World generously sponsored a blogger's BBQ and tour at the Runner's World headquarters.  We met all the editors of Runner's World, got fitted for shoes and feasted!

On our tour of the Runner's World headquarters, we learned all their secrets and I'm ready to spill them.

Ok, just kidding.

Highlight was checking out Bart Yasso's office, with the running legend himself:
In Bart Yasso's office, checking out his
door covered in old marathon bibs.
Amby Burfoot, Runner's World editor
(and winner of the 1968 Boston Marathon)
came and sat right between Miss Zippy and me at dinner!
Check out the footprint on the NEON green
sole of my new Altra trail shoes...more about
these shoes later!
Bart Yasso showing us the Runner's World Magazine covers
...including the never-before-seen-by-the-public
December cover :)
I like these pitchers
excited I got to finally meet my runner friend, Amanda :)
checking out international magazine covers
More blogger activities tomorrow...followed by a 5K and 10K on Saturday + a half marathon on Sunday!  I'm not "racing" these, they are going to be purely for fun.

Have you ever met any blogger buddies in real life?
I've met a handful and each time I've been impressed with how they are pretty similar to what I had imagined-- passionate, fun, interesting, etc.  I'm looking forward to connecting and running with even more of my buddies this weekend :)

  3. Can't wait to follow everyone's weekend as it's sure to be a blast. Like you, I've only met a handful of my blogger friends, but it's so awesome when that happens. Have a fantastic weekend!

  4. I will be running the 1/2 on Sunday! I can't wait. I graduated from Moravian College, where I ran cross-country and track for 4 years. Can't wait to hit the streets that I ran so many miles on!

  6. Ahh! So envious. I love the neon green shoes--they are SO you! :)

I've met a few blog friends IRL and they've all turned into offline friends--I Skype with a friend in Trinidad a few times a week and we've met here in the States, and I'm going there in January, plus we're running a race together next month in Florida! I also have another friend I met in Miami for a race and we email back and forth almost every single day. She came to visit me over the summer, too. Blog friends are the best!

    Have the best time! :)
