First up is one of my favorite running accessories-- Pro Compression socks.
I like the way the purple socks look with an all black outfit, a look that I first saw from this fantastic marathoner.
I have tried many different brands of compression socks and these are by far my favorite.
I also like the way the purple looks with my neon yellow racing flats
Why do I love Pro Compression?
-They are the perfect length, many other brands are too short and end up cutting off circulation in the middle of my calf. These socks are plenty high enough and they are just the right amount of "tightness"
-These are my favorite item to put on after a long run because they help with recovery
-They help improve blood flow to your legs, decrease recovery time, and decrease inflammation-- and they really work, just ask anyone who's tried them.
-I also wear these to work EVERY day, they leave my legs feeling fresh after a long 12 hour shift and that is NOT an easy feat.
snuggling up post-run in my neon orange Pro Compression socks in a down comforter nest
Pro Compression socks cost $50 for the full length and $45 for the calf sleeves. However, you can use the promo code FIT40 for 40% off and free shipping!

neon green is of course one of my other favorite pairs

ReplyDeleteI've been coveting a pair of these sleeves to wear under work pants so I'll finally stop lurking and comment. :) (is that bad blog reader etiquette? De-lurking for a giveaway? ;))
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is crossing the line of my first half. I felt on top of the world as I approached. Then the announcers called my name and I slowed down and looked around like a weirdo because I didn't know that was a thing they did and it confused me!
My favorite running memory is crossing the finish line at my first half. I was so excited and pumped. I immediately wanted to do it again.
ReplyDeleteI tweeted the giveaway https://twitter.com/NattieRuns/status/275566106339590144

ReplyDeleteI have a post going up tomorrow about Pro Compression! I'm in love as well! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is running my first 10 miles. Hitting those double digits was one thing, but I ran it for my Grandma with Alzheimer's. Totally emotional. :)
My favorite running memory was qualifying for Boston during my first marathon in Scranton, PA!
ReplyDeleteFavorite running memory.. it's hard to pick one! Seriously, what a tough question.=) I'm going to go with running my first 5k back in high school. It was nice not having a care in the world about what was actually taking place. I also remember feeling so grown-up and didn't think twice about the fact that I was just a kid.
ReplyDeleteFavorite running memory, crossing the finish line of the MCM while on the phone with my husband who was deployed in Afghanistan.
ReplyDeletemy favorite running memory was during my first marathon, I saw my boyfriend unexpectedly at the 25ish km point and sped up to negative split the race!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is definitely crossing the finish line of my first half marathon (also my first race ever) and having my parents and husband waiting, looking so proud!
ReplyDeleteBQ'ing this year! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was the first time I went trail running with a good friend. We were in West Virginia, and started running on this horse trail but ended up getting unbelievably lost because the trails were not well-marked. Needless to say, after a few hours we found our way back and got some very well-deserved beers :)
ReplyDeleteCrossing the line of my first half marathon was a huge deal for me. To top it off, five minutes later my now-husband proposed to me!
ReplyDeleteFavorite running memory is Thanksgiving 2011 when my whole family ran the turkey trot for the first time - also the first time I won an award at a race!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is running my first marathon in 2008 and running a BQ. I never thought in a million years I would BQ and I nailed it on the first try. My parents and my high school mentor as well as my aunt that got me into running where all at the finish line. I cried like a baby. :-)
ReplyDeletemy favorite running memory is crossing the finish line of my first half... it was my 2nd race ever, in my favorite city (NYC) and totally amazing!
ReplyDeletemy favorite running memory is running and finishing a 5k with my 5 year old daughter
ReplyDeleteFavorite running memory is my first race! And the addiction started from there!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is completing my first half, January 2012. I'd never felt more accomplished, looking back at training and see what I had done. Since then, I've done 5 more, with 1 more this year and my first FULL in February!
ReplyDeleteI also tweeted about the giveaway at @__MeganJohnston! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was crossing the finish line at the Charleston Half marathon, while my mom and I held each other's hands up in victory. It is a memory that I will keep with me forever.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is my first ever race, an urban obstacle race. It was what really got me interested in running and I am so thankful for it!
ReplyDeleteFinishing my first half marathon.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is from my first 5mile run... I dressed up like a cow and won free chick fil a for a year! And I ran the farthest distance (at the time) that I had ever run! It was really what got me exited about running!!
ReplyDeleteBy far my favorite running memory was on my first Ragnar in 2009. I was in the middle of the desert somewhere East of Las Vegas, it was 2 in the morning and I was all alone. I took out my ear-buds, and just ran to the sound of the desert and my foot strikes. It was Awesome!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is finishing my first half marathon!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh I I've so many! Crossing the finish line of my first half marathon with more than a 30 min PR
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is finishing the Ragnar Ultra. It was a few weeks after coming back from a 5 week injury. I had no idea I had the mental and physical strength to run that far after not running at all. Amazing support from my teammates helped as well!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was when I completed my first half marathon. I ran it the weekend of my 23rd Birthday. It was such a HUGE accomplishment for me because 5 years ago I would probably laugh in your face if you tried telling me that I could run 13.1 miles in 2 hours.
ReplyDeletelove these socks!
ReplyDeletefav running memory is tough to choose, but i've been holding tightly onto the memory from the cm12 that my husband and i just ran together where he grabbed my hand in the last 200 meters or so of the race where we finished hand and hand. fighting back tears for him at that point, and i was so proud of him. it was a wonderful experience to share.
I have many running memories, but my newest is from last night! I ran a 5k through the Winter Fest of Lights in Ocean City, MD. It was awesome running in the dark with the lights lit all around. The weather was great and the people (running & spectating) were awesome! It was an inaugural event, so I look forward to running this again in the years to come and creating new memories... Memories - ahhhhhh.
ReplyDeletePS - Would love, love, love a pair of these socks. The brighter the better.
:-)
Favorite funny memory was running the 400 back in high school, and I was finishing the last 100 meter stretch and a bug flew in my eye, so I couldn't blink the whole way. It was definitely motivation to get to the finish line FAST. Won the race!
ReplyDeleteFavorite memory is running a relay with 5 of my family members! I have never tried compression socks but would love the chance!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is finishing my first half marathon with my mom! She could have gone a lot faster but she stuck with me and it was amazing crossing the finish line with her!
ReplyDeleteFavorite running memory is a toss-up between crossing the finish line at my first 5k, and second, crossing the finishline at my first 10k!
ReplyDeleteProCompression was present for the 10k! ;) LOVE them!!
My favorite running memory is running the cherry blossom ten miler last year. I hit that runner's high point and felt fabulous when I finished the race which was my longest distance yet!
ReplyDeleteI NEED these socks so badly!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is the starting line at my first half in May. I was sooooo excited and eager.
I tweeted! Great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was pacing my husband in his first half marathon :)
ReplyDeleteFinished my first marathon at 4:18 (12 minutes faster than my goal)!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was a very muddy cross country race during college in at Lehigh University in PA. I miss my college running days and all my awesome teammates!
ReplyDeleteI just commented on Twitter!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is finishing my 8k in August strong and on my time target! I loved passing people at the end of the run when I was good and strong still. Got goosebumps as I finished the last mile!!

ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite memories would be from this last thanksgiving! I completed my very first race with a person best!
ReplyDeleteWell I'm fairly new to running - just started this last summer. But my favorite running memory is completing my first 5k in August. It was on a very hilly course and I had only been training on flat surfaces so it was extremely challenging. BUT - I finished!
ReplyDeleteMy fav running memory is completing my first half marathon in October! The feeling of accomplishment when I crossed the finish line was unforgettable.
ReplyDeleteFave running memory = the feeling I had as I crossed the finish line after my first marathon :) Nothing will ever beat that wonderful feeling and not even the exhaustion of having just run 26.5 (grrr, long course!) hilly miles in a hurricane could interfere with the feeling of having finally conquered the marathon :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is the first time I did 7 miles - I was just out running enjoying my music, the peace and quiet of the roads on a Sunday morning. When I got home and saw that I had done 7 miles - I was shocked!

Favorite running memory is a training run with my running bestie. We had just finished a strong 20 miler and we were giddy. The run was perfect and we both felt strong and confident!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory? Definitely running for 20 minutes straight, which was also when I ran more than a mile without stopping. I've come a long way since then, but that day was what proved to me that I could do it - without keeling over!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory? How do I pick just one? Every run is special to me but I think the most profound running moment was over 2 years ago on one of my long runs when I really connected to my spirituality and realized, running is what my spirit is meant to do. But the funniest, most frustrating, moment is when I was sent off course on a race last February and when I got back on track and ran passed dear hubby and darling daughter as they were woo-hooing and saying great job I literally threw my water bottle down and gently grabbed the new one. I had some bottled up frustration. :) It has become a funny story of the run when Mommy was sent the wrong way. P.S. I still PR"d. :)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was yesterday! I finished my first marathon!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite (recent) running memory was running the turkey trot 10K at U of R. Perfect weather and I LOVED the course! It was a great way to start the holiday weekend. And it doesn't hurt that I ended up running much faster than I expected! ( :
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory is the day I ran 6 miles for the first time. It was early spring, the weather was fabulous. I felt awesome and spent the whole run with a smile on my face. It was the first time I had a negative split, ran without music, and was my longest distance at the time. After that run, I decided I wanted to train for a half marathon.
ReplyDeleteFavorite running memory is definitely my first 5k. I remember placing in my age group and realizing, "you are pretty good at this running thing. Guess that means you can't quit." It was pretty cool to get a medal in my first race ever, especially considering I am 29 and at the high end of the age bracket.
ReplyDeleteJust tweeted!!!! Thanks for the great chance!!!!

ReplyDeleteMy new favorite running memory is running an 8k with my 8 year old soon-to-be stepson on Thanksgiving morning. He was a rockstar and I think he's caught the running bug! I love that this was something he wanted to do with me. *Happy tear*

ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is running my first race 'ever' this past May (the 10K portion of the Pasadena Marathon.) Seeing my home city from this perspective was awesome, the comraderie among the runners was inspiring, and of course, crossing the finish line was an amazing feeling. Four races later, I credit that one for giving me 'the bug.' ;-)
My favorite memory is when my Two year old asked to run with me and surprised me by running almost 1/2 a mile!

My favorite running memory is my first marathon and actually crossing the finish line!
ReplyDeleteFavorite memory is finishing my last leg at Hood to Coast. It is by far the best running experience I have ever had
ReplyDeleteNever owned my very own pair of compression socks...only cheapo ones that don't do much. I could never pick one memory of running as my favorite, you crazy? I'll pick the day I started blogging. It's changed my running life to have "friends" and strangers who also love to run.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is crossing the finish line at NWM and having my sister there!

My favorite running memory? Would probably being running along side humpback whales and being able to stop and watch them dive...that was cool!
ReplyDeleteCrossing the finish line of my first marathon, even though I felt miserable the last 11 miles, no one can take a finish away from you!
ReplyDeleteI tweeted about your giveaway! https://twitter.com/apprecfitness/status/275776199412817921
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was running across the finish line at my very first half marathon. I ran the Baltimore Half this past October and was so proud of myself for completing this goal I had set for myself. I can't wait to re-live that feeling and run another race soon!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory... well I have a lot of favorites but if I had to narrow it down (and be a little selfish) I'd say when I finished my one and only marathon (so far). The only time I've ever cried after a run! Ran it with 2 girlfriends and my father in law ran the last 6 miles with us to keep us going. We liked to refer to ourselves as "Charlie's Angels" LOL!
ReplyDeleteFavorite running memory...the Fargo Marathon where the best part of my race was mile 20 to the finish, the exact opposite of a wall. Plus I got a 48 minute PR!
ReplyDeleteI also tweeted! :)

My favorite running memory - last summer was a really hot summer in MN and we were (are) in a drought. Every run was hot and humid and there was no relief in sight. A group of us were out running and made our way out onto some country roads. All of us a sudden an huge downpour came out of nowhere!!! The rain brought out the frogs. We were all running around on the road laughing and rescuing the frogs. It was so much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteMy first race - I committed 2 No-No's! 1 - I wore a brand new sport's bra and pants. 2nd no-no, the pants were cotton... and it was raining. I still loved every moment of it and got hooked by the time I crossed the finish line.

ReplyDeleteIt wasn't funny in the moment, but last Easter I went for a long run through Richmond. I was out in the West End on Patterson, spaced out checking at the cute houses, tripped on an uneven sidewalk, and scraped my knees all up. Long story short, I didn't have a phone on me and it was early in the morning so no one was around. In most badass moment ever, I ripped the sleeves off my t-shirt to make makeshift bandages and hobbled all the way back home. I can only imagine how silly I mus have looked!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was finishing the Hot Chocolate 15k recently in Columbus, Ohio...and being able to walk when I finished. It was my longest distance as of yet. I'm hoping to have a new favorite memory in January when I run my first half in Key West!!
ReplyDeleteRunning alongside Jimmy Johnson and Kasey Kahne during a charity race in Charlotte, NC. Loving your purple compression socks--love all things purple!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory happened one of the first time I ever ran with my husband. He looked over at my bright red, sweat-soaked, make-up free face and said, "You are sooooo cute!" I was pretty much hooked on running after that!
ReplyDeleteMy fave running memory was completing the Seattle Marathon in 2011.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was running the Turkey Day 5k with my family. And hearing about how much they all enjoyed, and wanted to sign up for a christmas run was an added bonus!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was running with my boyfriend in a Turkey Trot where I PR'ed. Wasn't so much the PR (but I was SUPER proud!), but being able to spend that special time with him :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory SO FAR just happened yesterday when I ran the CIM relay with some girlfriends. We battled the elements of Mother Nature and conquered. Fun race. :)
ReplyDelete@RunningRachel
Love the neon! Hmm, fave running memory...3 stand out
ReplyDelete1) first race that my friend erika ran with me
2) boilermaker 2010 and 2011, as both were times I shocked myself and both helped me believe in myself a bit more
3) richmond marathon 2012, because it proved to me that chasing times and chasing joy don't have to be mutually exclusive.
My favorite running memory was finishing my first 10K at the 50 yard line at Michigan Stadium!
ReplyDeleteYour comments keep making me soooooo EXCITED FOR BOSTON!!!
ReplyDeletethat will be my favorite running memory for sure!
xoxo!
My favorite running memory is my first 5k. It was only a couple of months ago but it got me started running. Now I can't stop.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was finishing my first Half! It was actually a virtual race, but I had 2 friends running it with me! We all 3 took turns pushing my year old daughter in the jogging stroller! She was a real trooper! I was so proud of her too! I ended up walking a lot because I wasn't as prepared as I Thought I was, but I did it! :) And now, because of that race, I have already signed up for 4 more Halfs in 2013! :)
ReplyDeleteFavorite Running Memory: Crossing the finish line at Philly Marathon with a Sub-4 finish time!
ReplyDeleteFavorite running memory was with my son during HIS first 5k this summer (age 7). We weren't quite finished & he was already asking when we could do another! Now off to Tweet! @shannondempsey. Thx Girl!
ReplyDeleteFavorite: Crossing the finish line of my first marathon in Richmond, VA :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was running the Chicago marathon this year. It was my first marathon to boot! My little girls were there cheering me throughout the entire course. I actually saw them four different times! I also ran the race with my husband and it was just an INCREDIBLE experience! The Chicago residents cheer you on like it's their job...the energy was just off the charts! I truly treasure that experience...and of course, crossing the finish line was the my ULTIMATE favorite part!! I enjoyed meeting my goal, working through the challenges of training in one of the hottest summers on record, and most of all, showing my little girls that with hard work and determination you CAN DO IT!!
ReplyDeleteEvery run I do creates a new memory :-) I have mixed good/bad memories of track running with my coach a few winters ago. The track and I are not friends, but I did get faster with him pushing me!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win another pair of Pro socks--they are great!
My favorite running memory is a very recent one, just last month actually. I've gotten my husband into running, and last month we ran a Disney 5K (Jingle Jungle) together, crossing the finish line hand in hand. This has kicked off an obsession, and we've signed up for races during DisneyWorld Marathon and Princess weekends.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory has to be the last two miles of the 2012 Richmond Half (my first half!!). I will never forget turning onto Grace Street and weaving my way through downtown Richmond to the finish line. The energy, spectators, and other runners were awesome!
ReplyDelete@TheAmandaReid tweeted about the give away!
ReplyDeleteFavorite memory with out a doubt was when I broke up with my boyfriend. I had never ran faster, or harder or with more passion than I did that night. Running is such a blessing
ReplyDeletemeg.kays@yahoo.com
It actually was from Saturday. I am training for my first full marathon and ran 18 miles, my furthest at one time to date....and it was on the treadmill:-/
ReplyDeleteHi! I would love to invite you to enter into my first givaway @ www.iheartrunning.com and also to become one of our daily featured runners on Running Bloggers. Interview instructions can be found on www.runningbloggers.com
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Hi! I have wanted to try the socks for so long, they are definitely on my Christmas list! ONE of my favorite running memories is getting through 5 miles with my toddler in the jog stroller. After running for a few months I figured that would be too long with her and I wouldn't have the endurance. I loved being able to be outside with her and the feeling of having gained strength and endurance from training the few months before. She is now my running buddy :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!!!!
My favorite running memory would be when running finally clicked for me!
ReplyDeleteChocolateandcardio@yahoo.com
My favorite running memory just occurred actually! I just finished my very first Half (RnR Vegas) on Sunday, and I would have to say crossing that finish line after miles and miles of major wind was a pretty fond memory! : )
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory takes me all the way back to 1997 when our mile relay team placed second at state. We weren't even ranked, and we even surprised ourselves!! Who knew that 4 girls from a small farm town had that speed in them?!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I really have a favorite memory. Maybe when I run my first half marathon in february with my close friends I will make a memory ;)
ReplyDeleteykatrina at hotmail dot com
My favorite running memory is when I qualified for Boston this summer. I can't wait to run it (possibly in Pro Compression socks) this April!
ReplyDeleteQualifying for Boston at last year's marathon! You saw the pics...tears

ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memories probably involve running with my swim team in college...the trails we ran were gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteWow. So hard to come up with my favorite running memory. So many good ones to choose from! I'd probably pick running the Marine Corps Marathon in 2001. It was six weeks after 9/11 and it was an incredibly emotional, moving experience in many ways.
ReplyDeleteI just ran my first full marathon, the Las Vegas Rock and Roll on Sunday! I am so proud of myself for doing something that so many people say they could never do. I know how strong I am mentally to be able to push through especially with the wind! Running this marathon is not my favorite running memory because anytime I am struggling during a run, or even in life, I can think about how strong I am and how I can do anything I put my mind too!
ReplyDeleteFavoite running memory: running with one of my students in her first 5k.
ReplyDeleteDid I mention I teach kindergarten and she was 6???? It was perfect.
My favorite running memory would be when my husband and I ran our first 5k along the beach on vacation!
ReplyDeleteNow I hope I win so my legs will love with these new compression socks!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory? Can I list two? #1 would be completing the MCM in 2010. I'm not fond of the 26.2 but that event was incredible and so glad that I did it. #2 would be the fact that I just completed 3 half marathons in 14 days (along with a 5K the evening of one of those half marathons) which for this 47 yr old slow runner felt pretty incredible. I've only been running since 2008.
ReplyDeleteRunning my first race as a new mom last month! Half marathon and all I kept thinking was run fast to get to my baby!
ReplyDeleteFirst I must say that I'm really digging these compression socks! It'd be tough to pick a color, that's for sure but the pink is awfully cute.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was my 1st half marathon, ran in Columbia, SC last Spring. My husband was kind and patient enough to run it with me, even though he's naturally much faster. It's such an overwhelming feeling to complete your first half marathon, I rode a natural high from that achievement for days!
Although I used to run I've only recently re-started....my best current running memory was a turkey trot on Thanksgiving: The exhilaration and excitement of waiting for the race to begin, crossing the start line, watching the sea of runners ahead and behind me....and then crossing the finish line: the best feelings....I just wish I hadn't quit running for so long!
ReplyDeleteI just tweeted too!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was finishing my first 10K and feeling AWESOME! Thanks for doing the giveaway! :)

ReplyDeleteAlthough finishing my first half was a great memory, I ran XC in college and my favorite running experience was an English-style 5K, which involved running through running water/creeks and jumping over sticks and bales of hay and other obstacles. I hurdled over some hale bales at the finish rather than running around and beat out another girl to place in the race! woo love running and your blog :) I'm a nurse now so I can relate!
ReplyDeletefavorite running memory: having the last .2 of my marathon to go and spotting ryan and my fam yelling, "Megan, you did it!!!" It was the push I needed to get there.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is finishing my first marathon this year -- marine corps. It was windy and cold and everything hurt, but when I got to the last hill and made it over the finish line, I had a rush of pride that I was now a marathon finisher!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was when I first started running, pushing a very heavy double stroller with my boys. :)
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI think I have two fave memories:
1. my first marathon, which was on my 20th birthday and with my husband (then bf).
2. finishing my last IM marathon in 3:49 after battling knee issues in the months leading up to it.
Really want to try these out! Fave memory is finishing my first half marathon hand-in-hand with the hubs. :) (Tweeted too!)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory came at mile 23 of my first marathon. I called my mother to tell her I wasn't sure I was going to finish. I wasn't feeling well and had started cramping far too early at mile 18 (I had called her then, too). She assured me I was going to finish and just to keep plugging along. It was right then that I looked up to see my little brother running towards me. He was to be sent to Basic Training for the Air Force the following week, and had driven from VA to NJ to surprise me at the finish line. When he heard that I was struggling, he bought a pair of running shoes at the finish line and started running backwards down the course to find me. He found me at 23 and ran the last 5K with me. We crossed the finish line hand in hand.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory was when I saw my family during my first marathon! I was teary eyed because I was so happy to have their support!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running moment was created recently at the Philly Half Marathon! I exceeded my goal and PR-ed by 5 whole minutes! I had no idea I had that in me that day and I was so happy and proud of myself.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory was finishing my first half marathon in South Africa... it was soo awesome!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is pretty recent. I have just started training and the feeling of accomplishment when I reached the 2 mile mark without stopping was amazing!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is when I was in 8th grade, running the 800 meter race at a track meet. I was in first place and the second place runner was a full half a lap behind me. Felt pretty awesome. Haven't come that close to beating someone so bad since. Thanks for the giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteMy fave running memory was crossing the finish line at my first half marathon!

ReplyDeleteFavorite running memory was running the Baltimore Half Marathon this year and truly enjoying every single second of it. I ran for fun & ended up shaving 5+ minutes off my PR!

ReplyDeleteBest memory so far was my recent 8k. I ran faster than I had trained (after being injured for months before this training cycle), got an awesome overall time, fastest mile time (now have beat that), and felt strong at the end with no pain. This race gave me the confidence to sign up for my first half.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is seeing my kids holding their "Go Mom!" signs at the end of my second half marathon.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is running my first 5K by myself. I had run others with friends - but my first I was able to just focus and really have fun.
ReplyDeletesorry - double post :-(
DeleteBest memory is crossing the finish line at the Philly Marathon, knowing that I had just done a 21 minute PR!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite running memory was running my first race ever (minus elementary school track meets) with my sister at the Inaugural Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon. It was such an awesome race filled with fireworks, bands, and characters and it absolutely drained me because it started at 10pm.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely finishing my half marathon! I've been wearing compression sleeves, but not this brand. I would love to try them out!
ReplyDeleteI've heard so much about these, and I would love a pair! My favorite running memory was the first time I ran 8 miles. I smiled the entire way and texted my parents after I finished.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is crossing the finish line of my first race ever - a 5-miler done on a team. I knew I beat my expectations for the race; I fist-pumped across the finish line; and my friends were waiting for me just outside the chute with smiles and high-fives.
ReplyDeleteI tweeted about your giveaway @niferann4
ReplyDeleteI would love a chance to try these out! I've never used compression socks. My favorite running memory is finishing the Rock N Roll Nashville Half. I PR'd and felt amazing! After struggling with on-going injuries, it was my first run with zero pain in a long time! I was so elated. Plus - I ran it with my best friend who made the trip to Nashville a total blast!
ReplyDeleteThey're sending me a pair next week, so excited! Have you ever tried the full on compression pantyhose? So tight, so amazing. I have yet to find non-medical socks that are as tight as the ones I get from work, so I'm excited to try them out!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite running memory is when I was finishing my first marathon. I signed up for the race the day before and had not planned (or legitimately) trained for a marathon at all. My desire to get through it helped me finish it, so I was shocked that I actually DID.
