5 Friday Favorites

OK this will be a quick post because I had such an unusually busy night and have work today (yes, I sometimes write some of my posts at night and schedule them for the morning when I have to work!)

Here are a 5 of my favorite highlights from this past week:
I rarely have nights packed full of plans, but last night was packed full of 3 wonderful
events, including a Virginia is for Bloggers event at the Tobacco Company...
we were served blue tinted champagne!

I've been getting crafty in the kitchen this week.
I made a healthy, spicy sesame Asian crunch slaw.
I made it up as I went along and it was satisfying and delicious.

One of my goals for next week is to write it down and share it with you!

Congrats to Tappan for competing in the Member Guest tennis tournament at
CCV this past weekend! This photo was from the social on Saturday night.
One of my fav photos to look at because it looks surreal, reminds me of a painting.

I'm so excited about devouring this rainbow of protein that
Chobani sent me yesterday.  Greek yogurt is one of my favorite
post-run treats-- great combo of protein and carbs.
Can't wait to scarf down all the amazing flavors.
Blood Orange is one of my favs...

I had an amazing week of running.....it just felt right.
I even had an awesome dream Wednesday night where I was run-flying.
Also, I did see a physical therapist this week...I'll tell you more about that
and my nagging injury next week (I'm finally ready to talk about it!)

Happy Weekend to you!!  Any big plans?
Long run Saturday morning, overnight shift on Saturday and then superbowl fun with friends on Sunday!

  1. I was so shocked and proud of my fellow blogger friend to see a new blog post pop up in my twitter feed. I just decided I wasn't posting any more this week since I had NO time and nothing was scheduled... So no plans this weekend but blogging!

  2. Got the Super Bowl for sure, and I am fortunately putting in 9 miles earlier in the day to put a dent in the crap I will consume. Once that is over, I can essentially focus in on my diet until St. Pat's!

  3. I am doing an 18 miler tomorrow and then off to watch my son play basketball. Will wrap up the weekend with a Super Bowl Party that my son is "hosting." Nine 13-year old boys!!!

  4. The blue champagne looks really cool! I also feel like I am the only blogger in the world that didn't get any Chobani. :/

  5. Did you get any of the new Chobani flavors? I'm slowly working my way through them!

I strategically asked off from work for the Super Bowl...so excited to have six nights off!

  6. first 20 miler of the season tomorrow! Super Bowl will be a day of wing flavor experimentation...pretty excited for it.

Kat- been following your blog since early fall of 2011. I found it while looking for reviews on the Richmond Marathon. I love it, keep up the good work! Are you running the Richmond Love Rox Half Marathon on Feb 16? I'm using it as a tune up race. I ran the Richmond Half last fall and LOVED it. Great race and had a really good time in Richmond.

  8. I just inhaled some Chobani for breakfast :) Weekend plans = fixing my blog! I went self-hosted last night and while it's up and running, I don't think my new post is showing up in everyone's readers....technology is no bueno :)
