ONE year ago today

...In less than one week, I will be running the 2014 Boston Marathon.
[WOW.  Still unbelievable to me that I'm lucky enough to be heading to Boston!!]

...One year ago today, I blinked my eyes and when I woke up, I saw life through a new pair of glasses and I've tried not to look back. Last year's Boston Marathon gave me a new perspective on life.  Here's a link to my post about last year's experience in the medical tent.

...In less than four days, I'm going to travel up to Boston for the weekend.

...In the last couple weeks, I've felt emotional a million times.  Going back to Boston has stirred up a random deep emotional part of my brain.

I cannot wait to go back up there and:
-see all my friends,
-be a part of a demonstration of the true strength of runners, and
-run a solid marathon.

There is also a small part of me that is a little afraid of what it's going to feel like up there.

However, I do know that running Boston means so much more to me than just...running Boston.

It's going to be crazy-amazing.

A lot has changed in the past year and the anniversary of Boston feels like a reference point for me to check my life against.

Compared to last year right after the race, I have grown a lot...it's amazing to sit back and just let my mind wander through the maze of time.
So much to catch up on, but I'll save that for another day.

I wanna talk about how my training has been going + some goals, I'll probably do that by the end of the week.  I'll also post my bib and tracking info soon.

For today, I just want to say hello!

xoxo
